An Equitable Transition
Our goals
We want international shipping emissions to reduce in line with a 1.5°C pathway to zero by 2050, with emissions reductions beginning immediately. A just and equitable transition is at the heart of this mission. Our work supports a truly global decarbonisation that leaves no country behind.
What are we doing to make this happen?
We provide research, consultation and facilitation services related to shipping decarbonisation and activities at the International Maritime Organization (IMO). In particular, we work with climate vulnerable Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to ensure that all countries can contribute to the IMO's emissions agenda.
